1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Your use of Maztech UK services (also referred to as “we”, “us” or “our”) is subject to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. They do not affect your statutory rights.
2. OUR AGREEMENT
By ordering services from Maztech UK you are entering into a contract with us. The terms below set out our obligations and what you are agreeing to. We would particularly draw your attention to your responsibility to check whether our services may have an effect on any manufacturer's warranty.
3. ESTIMATES & PAYMENT
We will provide you with an estimate of the costs of any repairs or services. The cost and availability of any parts required may require further investigation and a further estimate. We will not charge our labour costs if we are unable to provide a solution. Payment may be made by cash, Visa ®, Mastercard ®, Maestro ® or bank transfer and is due on completion of the work, unless we agree otherwise. Cheques are NOT accepted.
4. 90-DAY WARRANTY
If the same problem occurs within 90 days after we fix a fault, we will either;
fix the problem at no extra charge, or;
we will refund any money paid by you for the services we carried out, if we cannot fix the problem.
The 90-day warranty will not be valid if any failures or errors are caused by the subsequent incorrect use or maintenance of any item installed or configured by us.
5. SERVICE VISIT REQUIREMENTS
We are not responsible for data and information on your computer or other hardware. We recommend that you take a back-up before handing over any equipment to us for repair.
If we carry out a service at your home we will need the following:
Someone, over the age of 18 years, present who has a basic knowledge of the problem and administrative level access rights to the relevant equipment, and;
Access to the equipment being serviced and electric light and power, and;
Valid, original and licensed versions of any software required, unless being supplied by us. Please note that we will not use, install or configure any unlicensed, copied or counterfeit software.
6. LIABILITY EXCLUSIONS
Whilst we will use reasonable efforts to minimise disruption to your system, we cannot be responsible for any unforeseen consequences of our services.
We cannot be responsible or liable to you for:
any loss or corruption of data, information or records;
any loss of goodwill, or any loss of (or interruption to) business or contracts;
any failure by you to follow our reasonable advice, recommendations or instructions;
any losses you may suffer arising from your use of (or failure to use) any anti-virus software; and
any loss that is not reasonably foreseeable.
7. INFORMATION WE REQUIRE AND USE OF INFORMATION
We will ask you for certain details which we require to perform the service. This could include a postal address, contact telephone numbers and an email address. We will not pass this information to third-parties without your consent.
If we fail to enforce any accrued rights under this Agreement this is not to be taken as or deemed to be a waiver of those rights unless acknowledged by us in writing. It is hereby declared that the foregoing paragraphs, sub-paragraphs and clauses of this Agreement shall be read and construed independently of each other. Should any part of this Agreement or its paragraphs, sub-paragraphs or clauses be found invalid it shall not affect the remaining paragraphs, sub-paragraphs and clauses.
We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time on giving notice to you. This Agreement sets out the entire agreement and understanding between Maztech UK and you and is in substitution of any previous written or oral agreements.
Password Removal T&C's
We are able to remove user passwords from laptop and desktops under the following conditions:
The computer is running Windows 8.1 or later (excluding Microsoft Accounts)
We cannot remove passwords from Linux or Apple OSX
The computer is owned by a private individual and is not registered to an organisation
You are able to prove you are the owner of the computer (receipt or invoice must be in your name - we will not accept photocopies or digital receipts or invoices)
We will not under any circumstances remove passwords (BIOS or User) from stolen,blacklisted, leased computers or where ownership cannot be verified
We may be required to perform a serial number check to confirm the status of the laptop. If this is required we charge a £2.50 fee for each computer that needs to be checked. We will inform you of this before the check is performed.
Collection and Drop Off of Equipment
We allow by arrangement drop off and pick up of IT equipment. By using this method you agree to collect the equipment within 28 working days (Mon - Fri 09:00 - 18:00) after the work has been completed.
If you do not collect all of the supplied equipment within this time frame Maztech UK reserve the right to either:
Sell the equipment to recover our costs
Dispose of the equipment
Please inform us before the work commences if you require more time to collect your equipment from us
Refurbished PC Terms and Conditions
This limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials in your Maztech UK supplied refurbished hardware products for six (6) months from the date of purchase. This limited hardware warranty does not cover:
Software, including without limitation, the operating system and software added to the hardware products, third-party software or the reloading of software
Products and accessories not supplied by Maztech UK when the PC was purchased
Problems that result, directly or indirectly, from:
External causes such as accident, abuse, misuse or problems with electrical power.
Servicing not authorized by Maztech UK.
Usage that is not in accordance with product instructions.
Failure to follow the product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance.
Using accessories, parts or components not supplied by Maztech UK.
Commercial hardware products that use, or in which have been installed, products or components that have not been provided by Maztech UK.
Products with missing or altered serial numbers
Products for which Maztech UK has not received payment

Apple Mac Repair
To locate your Mac’s serial number, visit
A compatible charge is required for the duration of the repair as many Apple model require different charger tips and voltages.
If your Apple Mac is still within Apple's or any third party warranty, we highly advise contacting them first as we will void most warranties if we open up your Mac.
Maztech UK cannot be held responsible for voiding any manufacturer or third party warranties. You are responsible to check if our work will affect the warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: Maztech UK is NOT an Apple authorised repair centre but we do have an Certified Apple Support Professional to perform the repairs. Our 90-day warranty still applies for Apple products.
